Sergeant Emilio Guerrero Memorial Fund
As we mourn the loss of LADA Sgt. Emilio Guerrero and his wife, Annabel, please support their children in their time of need.
It is with heavy hearts that we share the tragic news of the loss of one of our own, Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office Bureau of Investigation Sergeant Emilio Guerrero, and his beloved wife, Annabel, in a fatal automobile accident in Downey on Sunday, October 8.
Sergeant Guerrero began his law enforcement career in 1994 as a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputy, graduating from Class #286. In 2006, he joined the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office Bureau of Investigation, where he served with distinction and commitment for 17 years. He is remembered by his colleagues for his exceptional leadership and outstanding performance, particularly his exemplary work in tactical field operations. Annabel Guerrero was a dedicated teacher who previously worked for the Downey Unified School District. Their contributions to our community will be remembered and cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing them.
Our hearts go out to the Guerreros’ family, friends and colleagues, and we extend our deepest condolences to their children, who were not in the vehicle with their parents at the time of the accident. They leave behind two daughters, ages 15 and 12, and in addition Sergeant Guerrero’s 20-year-old daughter, whose mother is an LASD dispatcher and PPOA member.
To honor the memory of Emilio and Annabel, and to provide support to their children as they navigate their devastating loss, please consider making an online donation through the Star & Shield Foundation by clicking the button on this page.
